  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¾ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a large bowl and let it cool.
  2. Stir in brown sugar and maple syrup until well mixed.
  3. Add vanilla extract and beaten egg; mix until smooth.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until fully combined.
  6. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least one hour.
  7. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  8. Scoop dough into balls and roll in granulated sugar before placing on the sheet.
