  • 3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour (plus additional for rolling)
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp instant dry yeast
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (softened for dough and room temperature for filling)
  • 1 large egg
  • 2/3 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl or stand mixer, combine flour, brown sugar, cocoa powder, yeast, salt, and espresso.
  2. Add warm milk and softened butter; mix until combined, then knead until a soft dough forms.
